The Glory of the Better Way - A Poem

The Glory of the Better Way

With feet of clay
and a head in the clouds
the soul of man
is burdened with doubts

For what can he know;
or what can he mean,
when the past is a memory
and the future a dream?

But fear not; believe only,
hold fast and stand firm,
and the glorious truth of God
you are sure to learn!

For God is our Father
and He is mighty in deed
in the palm of his hand
he holds infinity.

The humble heart is the Temple
wherein He does dwell
so follow His instruction
and all will be well

For the Father abounds
In priceless spiritual treasures
Upon his blessed children
He bestows these gifts
without measure:
Wisdom, love and laughter,
Selfless service to the Brotherhood
Now,
And in the hereafter.

For salvation alone
Is not an end in itself,
But the divine means
Whereby you can be of more help,
To man and to angel,
To friend and to foe,
Giving all you have
To gain more than you can know.
